Here I have a "box" made with paraffin. It was used for garnish before the trash.
It will be used to put a little 12v 3amp. battery, led "lamp", the on/off key
and the socket to insert the battery rechager.
This is the Led "lamp" , this is ready to use 12v - DC power.
This is the 12volts 3amp battery. I'll not use connectors since this is an old battery and I'll use it just for this so the wires are soldered.
So, here are the things used on this Abajour except for the quad cam device ( the black box) , the idea was use some connectors of it since it's not working but I found a nice connector to insert the battery recharger.
Now the recharger connector and the things to be used.
that's it, after solder the positive wire between the battery and the on/off key to the led + side and the -12v wire it's ready. Just solder the battery recharger connector and I recommend you to use a diode to prevent the battery discharge if you insert the recharger and forget to power it on.
Almost done!!! after the test let's prepare the paraffin "box"
Make 2 holes ,one for the on/off switch and another for the recharger connector.
now the final test.
now, "fire in the hole" !!!
let's turn off the lights!!!!
now it's ok. let's put it in a place that don't have a way to turn on an wired abajour........
Done, let's turn off the lights again.....
That's it.
A home made abajour without wire using things that could be on the trash for 2 bucks and made in 20 minutes.. or less.
If you want to make a wired abajour I recommend the things bellow:
A Par 20 socket lamp, a par 20 LED light , I bought on ebay for $2,50 and the wire to connect the AC power, this one is from an old TV. If you prefer, use an on/off switch. To make it better install a photo sensor to turn on the abajour at night.that's the Par 20 LED light.
